The NYC Retreat
Join Leah Kelley Photography in New York City on July 9-12 for three full days of styled shoots, adventure, good food, and even better community. We'll meet at our headquarters — a Manhattan townhouse one block from Central Park before venturing into the city for four (yes, four!) styled sessions. You can also prepare for two deep dive workshop sessions that deal with common hot topics for photographers in the wedding and lifestyle industries.
But we do things a little differently around here. Forget your previous experiences with styled shoots...the fighting for a spot, the crowd of girls with cameras. We keep groups small (there are only 9 tickets total available!) so everyone has their moment to shine. Not only are our attendees photographers and small business owners, they're also your future best friends. We pride ourselves on being a community that prefers kindness and encouragement over hustling and competition, so you'll instantly feel safe and at-home.
Where We've Been
What started as a small workshop in 2020 in Ohio quickly branched into workshops in Salt Lake City, Kentucky, and New Orleans. We're dedicated to providing safe and quality experiences for our attendees, where photographers can take home valuable business tools and gorgeous new images for their portfolios and websites too.

How do I get there?
You are responsible for booking your own flight to NYC, as well as all transportation to and from the townhouse on W. 71st Street in Manhattan. There are taxis outside both New York airports that will transport you. You are welcome to "carpool" to and from the airport with another attendee!
Do I pay for my own meals?
Yep! We will have snacks and breakfast items available in the townhouse at all times, but you will be responsible for purchasing all meals while in the city. You can expect at least one "nice" dinner out, roughly $40-$60 for the meal.
Do we have any free time?
We will provide a schedule of events, so you know exactly when our planned activities are taking place! All time spent outside those activities is usually spent with other attendees, editing our newly acquired images, or taking quick trips into the city to sightsee. I know for me personally, I'll be heading to the MET!
